FromMobil Alabama, and was on merchant marine ships before he got drafted, so he was a more worldly
dude, a real smooth southern talking, walking full of confidence Marine. We got along fine until we
went on R & R together along with Hughs, the three of us went to Singapore together
(see more about that in my story page three) Markris was in Singapore before on a merchant ship so he
wanted to go back there, he said he would take care of us, first getting us half drunk for free. He told
the taxi driver to take us to the whore houses outside of town, he said no matter how good the women
look don't pick any of them, they all have VD or worse, but when we would go in the different houses,
the lady in charge would give us each a free beer while we looked over the whores, we would drink our
beer, then say no thanks, with the taxi driver waiting outside to take us to the next whore house. After
five of these trips he tells the driver to take us downtown to a bar that he had been to before for a girl
he wanted named CC. Well he makes the mistake of going to the bathroom first, Hughs and I sit down
and this long pair of legs comes walking past our table, I reach out and pull her to my lap, when Markris
comes back he looks and said I have his girl CC and wants her back, I say no way am I giving this great
looking girl up to anyone, well he got really pissed at me, storming out leaving Hughs and I to spend the
whole R & R together in Singapore.
